My passion as a therapist is to provide quality care with mastery and excellence. My journey to becoming a therapist was born from a deep curiosity of the human experience. I am fascinated by the human will to live despite crushing experiences, to love despite heartache, and to grow despite adversity. In the search for answers, I stumbled into the great honor of walking the journey to healing with some of the most beautiful souls I have ever met — my clients. What started as insatiable curiosity has transformed to a commitment to continued learning and researching the best methods of healing for my clients.

My training: I obtained my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology followed by Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Evangel University. I completed my training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing in 2016 and have since become certified by the EMDR International Association and an Approved Consultant to other therapists seeking certification. I find the Adaptive Information Processing Model of EMDR therapy encompasses most of the best qualities of many other evidenced-based theories of practice. Other approaches to therapy I utilize include Ego State, Polyvagal Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Somatic Integration Processing, and a multitude of others as indicated by the needs of my client.

I also completed a certification in Adventure Based Counseling and and Educational Specialist Degree in Experiential Counseling with Emphasis in Adventure Based Counseling. I am additionally certified in Therapeutic Flyfishing EMDR (TF-EMDR). Incorporating nature in to therapy is always on the table! From taking a walk, hiking, or spending time on the water, nature plays a beautiful role as co-therapist with adventure bringing awareness to patterns we might not have been able to explore without the use of our body in a therapeutic space.

My clients: Many of my clients have experienced traumatic life experiences, though I treat a wide range of behavioral and emotional concerns including complex trauma, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, and beyond. Like you, many start by asking, “What could be different?” I honor the risk you are taking in seeking therapy, and want you to find the right fit. Please contact me if you would like to talk.
